flew the entire war without a scratch
Adolf “Addi” Glunz, Luftwaffe Ace with 71 victories, including 19 four-engined bombers. He had an amazing run: he was continuously in action until 1945 and was never shot down or wounded in aerial combat. Spitfires, Mosquitos, B-17s, P-47s – all fell to his guns. Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves awardee.
Addi made a point of annotating his kill details, singling out all the bomber types that he scored, by far the majority were B-17s (identified as "Boeing").
